MILITARY SERVICE
US ARMY

I was trained by the US Army as a Combat Engineer (12B40) at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. After graduating from Advanced Individual Training (AIT) as a Distinguished Graduate, I was assigned to the Berlin Brigade behind the Iron Curtain in East Germany. I taught explosives and demolitions and spent time driving an M60 AVLB (Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge) affectionately known to Combat Engineers as "Thumper".
